Discernment Weekend: March 27-29

The Vocation Office is sponsoring a discernment retreat on the weekend of March 27-29, at Linwood Spiritual Center in Rhinebeck, N.Y.

The retreat is open to all men discerning a call to the Society, not just those who have already reached out and are in the Candidacy Program.

The weekend is designed to give participants exposure to the history, life and spirituality of the Society of Jesus, all in an effort to help them develop tools for solid spiritual discernment. “In a discernment retreat, there’s the opportunity for you to uncover a little bit more,” said Fr. Fred Pellegrini, SJ, vocation promoter. “In your discernment you’re asking, ‘Well what is this doing inside me? Is this what I want? Is this who I am?’”

If you or someone you know may benefit from this retreat, please share this information. “If a man might have a vocation, encourage him to develop it. It may very well be his way to respond to God with his life,” said Fr. Pellegrini.

Those interested attending the retreat should contact Fr. Fred Pellegrini, SJ, at ueavocations@jesuits.org
